This blog is about God, first and foremost. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is to exalted in all that we do. That is the purpose of this blog. As a one who has received the gift of the Spirit of adoption whereby I cry “Abba,” Father, it is my duty to give glory to His holy Name. Jesus is Lord. Plain and simple. The One who gave His life on Golgotha’s Hill between two thieves about two thousand years ago is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High. He is Risen. It is by Him all things are created and it is in Him all things finds completion and purpose. The Hoy Spirit is our Guide and Teacher. He is the promise of the Father that was sent by the Son to cause His people to walk in His ways. He hides the Word in our hearts.

The Church does theology in response to the hearing and her obeying the God of the Gospel. The Church is a living organism planted on the earth to bear witness by the Spirit to the Gospel of the Risen Lord. It is her job to reflect on the beauty of her Lord, meditate on the goodness of His mercy and grace towards His creation, old and new, and converse with the triune God throughout the ages under the guidance of the Word and Spirit. The Tradition of the Church is the product of this conversation. We read, meditate, ponder, reflect, and wrestle with our sisters and brothers who bore witness to the gospel through the ages. The Church is fellowship of persons. She is the Bride of Christ and as Frank Macchia declares the “sign of grace in a graceless world.”

I intend to post thoughtful reflections of the faith for us everyday believers and converse with the elders of the Church hoping to gain insight and wisdom in expressing the grace that I have so richly received from the Lord. May the Word of God rule richly within our hearts.
